LaunchBoom Games… What is it? How does it work? And what’s new?
Since I’m so excited about the last question, I’m going to start there. We just went through a big upgrade in the program. One where we will now get your pre-launch funnel set up in only 7 days.
That includes your:
- Reservation funnel built in LaunchKit (that’s our software!)
- Automated email flows
- Ad audiences
- Ad shot list
- Ad copy
And that big upgrade is just a small part of the program, which means there’s a lot to cover in this post, so let’s get into it.
Also, I highly recommend watching this video which goes over everything in this post, but just in a lot more detail.

What’s the goal of LaunchBoom Games?
I want to show you something.
Here are three campaigns that went through LaunchBoom Games:
- Parks & Potions raised $105,481 on Kickstarter
- Red Tides raised $137,727 on BackerKit
- Computer Junkyard raised $248,030 on Kickstarter
Clearly they had successful launches, but that’s not the most interesting stat. Check out how much each of them raised on the day 1 of their launch:
Parks & Potions raised $30,038.

Red Tides raised $32,553.

Computer Junkyard raised $89,041.

Again, all in one day.
Unless you get extremely lucky (like winning the lotto lucky) there’s no way you can raise that much on day 1 without the right pre-launch strategy.
For that reason, the goal of LaunchBoom Games is this:
To have a successful pre-launch.
Next, let’s break down how we help you do that.
How do we help you have a successful pre-launch?
To have a successful pre-launch, you must build an email list of superfans before you launch. Your superfans are people who cannot wait to buy your game. And the best way that we’ve found to identify your superfans is to use a superfan funnel.
The superfan funnel is a series of webpages where you can not only collect email addresses, but either $1 deposits from people to reserve your best launch deal or followers on your campaign page. Both can work, but we find the $1 reservations to consistently work the best.
That’s because when someone puts down a $1 reservation they are way more likely to follow through with the purchase – usually 10-20 times more likely than someone who just gives their email address.
That’s why it’s so effective at identifying your superfans. For example, let’s see how Computer Junkyard used the reservation funnel to raise over $89K in one day.
Step 1: Meta Ad
This was one of their best performing ads. It grabbed their superfans attention and brought them to the next step.

Step 2: Landing page
This is where they explained more about the game with the goal to gather emails of people interested in the launch.
(Click image to expand)Step 3: Reservation Bridge
This is where the “reservation funnel” gets its name. Computer Junkyard offered a bonus mini-expansion and a 5% discount off of their pledge in exchange for $1.

This is where someone could put in their payment information to finalize their $1 reservation.

Step 5: Thank you
A quick thank you for upgrading to VIP.

The results
Before Computer Junkyard went live on Kickstarter, the reservation funnel allowed them to achieve the following:
- Total email signups: 10,209
- Total $1 reservations: 2,479
When they launched they sent emails to their email list. And twenty-four hours later their campaign was sitting at $89,041 raised. They built on that momentum and finished their campaign at $248,030.
But how does the support work?
Now that you understand the goal of LaunchBoom Games, let’s talk through how the support works exactly. We can break it down into 4 parts.
1. Pre-Launch Funnel Setup (in 7 days)
This is the big upgrade that I talked about earlier.
After you sign up, you’ll submit an in-depth questionnaire about your game and brand personality. That will go directly to your dedicated LaunchBoom Games Strategists. They’ll take that information and start to strategize the best way to position your game in the market. And 7 days later, they’ll deliver you the following:
- Superfan funnel built in LaunchKit
- Automated email flows
- Ad audiences
- Ad shot list
- Ad copy
All you have to do now is make any changes you want, upload your game images, and finish programming the ads. Then you’ll be ready to go live with your pre-launch ads.
2. LaunchBoom Games System
You’ll get a license to use our entire LaunchBoom Games System. Think of it as a step-by-step guide on how to launch a successful campaign, including in-depth video tutorials, templates, and guides. You’ll also get access to LaunchKit where you can update your funnel, test new ideas and track the performance of your pre-launch.
3. Dedicated LaunchBoom Games Strategists
These wonderful people will be your guides. They not only are amazing humans but they know their stuff. In the last 2 years alone they’ve helped game creators raise over $35 million.

Here’s all the support you get:
4 Strategic Milestone Calls:
This is a way for our team to make sure that you are on the right track at critical moments of your launch. They’ll provide 4 in-depth milestones reviews through Loom:

- Pre-ads Live: in-depth review of your landing page, ad copy, ad creative, audiences and technical setup in Meta.
- Pre-ads scaling: in-depth review of your advertising metrics from the testing phase.
- Pre-launch: in-depth review of your campaign page (both creative & technical) and launch emails.

Second, set up a time to chat with us. Just click here, tell us a bit more about your game, and we’ll set up a time to speak to you about how we can help you launch. Looking forward to learning more about what you’re working on!
