Or at least way less confusing than learning that
new 4.83 weight 4x legacy campaign game.
Come for the marketing expertise, stay for the community.
Trying to get a game off the ground by yourself can be a bit lonely at times. That’s why community has been built into LaunchBoom Games from day one – a place where 300+ game creators just like you come to hang out, get feedback, and support each other.
Unless it’s a fantasy game of course - but in all seriousness, we love
helping game creators turn their ideas into successful game businesses.
They loved board games and always dreamed of launching their own. So in between their work, they started working on one that paid homage to their love of the outdoors. It’d be called Bear Mountain Camping Adventure, and after many months of work, it was finally ready.
So they joined LaunchBoom and got to work on their Kickstarter, building a community of superfans before their launch. And when they finally launched, they raised $781,450 – allowing them to go all-in on building their new game studio, SweaterBear Games.
“LaunchBoom is the best of the best when it comes to getting ready for a successful launch! This is our first Kickstarter campaign, and with 9 days left we’re sitting at $650,000 raised with 6,800+ backers! Their consultants and resources are incredible!”
– Casey Mattes, Founder of SweaterBear Games
So she took the opportunity to develop a game idea she had called Biome.
From 6AM to midnight, she was all in. Working on the cards, the actions, and everything in between. Her game was basically done, but she didn’t know how to launch.
So she joined LaunchBoom to help her launch it on Kickstarter, raising $400,240 by the end of her campaign. And today, she works full-time on building her game studio called Lioness Games.
“…I’m so glad we chose LaunchBoom. 1. The LB program is very well executed. 2. The team is incredible. Victor and Maria went above and beyond to help me and I’m so grateful for their support 3. The community of fellow board game creators is amazing and made the whole experience so much better. 4. My board game funded on Kickstarter in 9 minutes. The fee is well worth it!”
– Leonie Grundler, Founder of Lioness Games
Like Marvel has the franchises of Spider-man, X-men, and Iron Man, Ridge wanted to do the same.
So he created Rising Empire Studios with the first franchise to be called Alpha Clash. First, he launched a graphic novel to kick off the franchise but was looking to do a trading card game next.
So he joined LaunchBoom to help him launch it and raised $422,809. Since then, he’s launched two more campaigns and continues to build out the Alpha Clash universe.
“LaunchBoom created a community and a resource that teaches what crowdfunding is and showcases strategies on how to execute a successful campaign.”
– Ridge Kiley, CEO at Rising Empire Studios

and map out a plan to help you launch it.
We believe in artists, and the incredible skill and talent they
provide to bring your games and our program to life.
Nope! You can begin ad testing with renders or artwork before your prototype is complete. In fact, it’s better to start earlier in the process. With our system, you can get real-time feedback about your product from real customers or our community and improve as you go.
Our program is set on a per-launch basis, not a fixed timeline. If you need to revisit the drawing board for your prototype, you can always hit pause and start again later OR build your list slowly as you refine your product.
No creator spends the same amount on ads, and we won’t know how much you’ll need until you test. For our testing phase, you’ll only need to spend between $1,000 to $2,000.
That’s because we only advise you to continue spending on advertising when the metrics show a likely positive return on investment. We take a gradual, stair-step approach to minimize risk, as opposed to throwing thousands of dollars into ad spend and hoping it works.
By using YOUR data from the testing phase, we are able to give you a more personalized and accurate budget.
However long it takes to build a big enough email list.
In the past decade of launching crowdfunding campaigns, we’ve found that a pre-launch should last at least 2 months to ensure the best results. A quick AND successful pre-launch (less than 2 months) is extremely uncommon unless you already have an audience.

It depends on each project. We know: that’s everyone’s least favorite answer. But really, it does. Whether it’s Kickstarter, Gamefound, or BackerKit, our team can help you decide which is the best platform for you.
